The Difference between Styles of Lash Extensions

Classic Lash Extensions, Hybrids and Russian volume.

Classic Lash Extensions

Classic lash extensions involve the application of one individual extension applied to one natural lash. This technique is referred to as the 1:1 technique. This technique enhances the natural lashes by adding length and slight thickness while maintaining a subtle look. Classic sets are most suitable for clients who already have a healthy number of natural lashes and desire a natural, defined look. Although Classic lashes can look natural  the great thing about Classic lashes is you can customise the lengths meaning you can go for a dramatic length if this is the look you desire. Classic Lash extensions need to be infilled every 2 weeks.

Volume Lash Extensions

Volume lash extensions require a more advanced technique in which a fan is created of multiple ultra-fine extensions. 2-6 fine extensions are used to create a fan and are applied to a single natural eyelash. These fans come in different curls depending on the looking you’re going for. For example 2D, 3D, or 4D, allow for significantly greater lash density and a fuller, more textured effect. Curls such as C curl create a natural curl for a softer look. Extensions used in volume fans are considerably thinner than Classic extensions meaning they can be safely applied without weighing down the natural lash. This method is ideal for clients with sparse natural lashes or for those seeking a more dramatic or voluminous result. Russian Lash extensions need to be infilled every 3 weeks.

Hybrid Lash Extensions

Hybrid lash extensions are a mix of Classic lashes and volume lashes ( fans ). Typically one Classic lash is applied following one fan. This is great for people wanting a fuller look than Classic extensions but not as full as volume extensions. We can also customise this technique depending on your desire. For example we can apply two classics and one fan throughout which results in a light volume or one classic and two fans, resulting in a fuller volume set. Hybrid Lash extensions need to be infilled every 3 weeks.

Every client’s lash extension results will vary, as no two sets of natural lashes are exactly the same. Your natural lash length, thickness, density, growth direction, and eye shape all play a significant role in how extensions will appear. During your appointment, your beauty therapist  assesses these factors to create a customised design that complements your natural beauty while maintaining the health of your natural lashes. This personalised approach ensures that your finished look is tailored you suit you.
